Staple Set Block Brush

Staple set block brushes typically feature a unique configuration of filaments or bristles to meet particular requirements. These brushes can be used to cover large areas, opposed to a line of space covered by a metal channel strip brush.

Composition of a tufted, staple-set brush

The customization opportunities on a staple-set brush are countless when considering hole configuration, fill type, fill density, trim length and trim shape.

Block Material

Wood or synthetic

Hole Pattern

Single-row or multiple-row, staggered or straight, a programmed hole pattern is drilled into the block. Hole size and spacing can be customized.

Fill Material

Each hole is filled with a folded tuft of filament. A variety of fill material is able to be used, from natural to synthetic.

Staple

Each tuft is secured with a wire staple, which can be nickel silver, steel, stainless steel, or brass.

Trim

Can be customized to fit your application. Choose from straight, beveled, convex or concave.

Crimped

Level

These bristles have a wave and create a bushier brush.

Straight bristles create a more compact surface.

Synthetic

Nylon

Good bend recovery, abrasion resistance, flex fatigue resistance, and chemical resistance.
Grade 6.0, 6.6, 6.12

Polypropylene

Versatile filament with excellent wet stiffness. Good bend recovery, but will take a set more easily than other material.

Polystyrene

Used widely for floor brushes, counter sweeps, and light duty applications.

Polyester

Ideal for wet applications since its water absorption is very low. Also excellent bend recovery and solvent resistance.

Natural

Horse Hair

Excellent durability. The soft to slightly stiff texture ensures gentle cleaning without scratches on polished surfaces. Produces very little static electricity.

Tampico

From the Agave plant grown in Mexico, with a natural cream color. Excellent for tasks that involve retaining liquid, scrubbing, and finishing surfaces.

Trim options

We offer a variety of trim options to meet your custom brush needs.

Straight
